The Women in Technology Summit aims to embolden girls who are currently in the STEM fields to make a change in the community by lending enthusiasm and inspiration from successful women leaders. WIT Summit aims to be a journey into self-discovery and empowerment.

A place for participants to discover their hidden talents and spark their technical innovations. Tt will be an experience like no other, combining the best of the IEEE and Industry network, with some amazing learning and truly fun events that will make the most memorable events so far.

About Women In Engineering(WIE) Society

IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) is an international professional organisation dedicated to supporting women engineers and scientists. WIE strives to inspire young women across the world to pursue their academic interests and build a career in engineering. WIE facilitates the recruitment and retention of women in technical disciplines globally. WIE envisions a vibrant community of determined IEEE women and men collectively using their diverse talents to innovate for the benefit of humanity.

IEEE WIE strives to: Recognise the outstanding achievements of women in electrical and electronics engineering through IEEE Awards nominations. Organise receptions at major technical conferences to enhance networking and to promote membership in IEEE WIE. Advocate women in leadership roles in IEEE governance, and career advancement for women in the profession. Facilitate the development of programs and activities that promote the entry into, and retention of, women in engineering programs.

About Mangalore Sub Section

IEEE Mangalore Subsection comes under IEEE Bangalore Section, which is one of the most vibrant section in Region 10, surrounded by top notch industries and experts in and around the Silicon Valley. Bangalore is a must destination for building, growing and redefining the boundaries which are already defined in a new way, new style and fresh enthusiasm. IEEE Bangalore Section has been winner of many of Awards, to name a few Best Section – Large, Best Affinity Groups, Best Chapter, MGA Achievement Award, Outstanding Branch Counsellor awards for its volunteers.

The hub of excited students, young professionals, women in engineers , expert members and experienced senior members make sure each event has joy in learning something new and redefining the defined. Symposiums, Section Leadership Congress and General body meets focuses on providing leading-edge professional development for women in technology from across the globe, aiming to inspire, engage and empower other women.


About IEEE NITK Student Branch

IEEE NITK is an award-winning student branch that belongs to the Bangalore Section under Region 10 of IEEE. Founded in 1988, NITK IEEE has progressed exponentially and involved itself in various regional and global technical activities. Winners of the Best Student Branch Award in 2007 and 2013, IEEE NITK is now one of the largest student branches worldwide.
